Yeah, ditto that.

I hope dingo makes something truly amazing from what he's done. Isn't it enough to know that you're part of something great instead of worrying over some piddly little unenforceable license that you aren't even making money from?

I don't mean to cause a flame, but the GPL is hardly a piddly license. I can't believe you would just piss on everything open source stands for. Everything about ROBIN or any other open source project is because of the GPL. Where would ROBIN be without openwrt? Where would openwrt be without Linksys? Where would Linksys be without the Linux kernel, busybox, etc, etc? This whole chain is possible due to the GPL license. I doubt Linksys would release their source had they not been obligated to by this license.

I don't wish to pick a side on the lugro-mesh dingo thing. I hope dingo does make something great, and I hope he honors the license that made it possible.

Do you mean to say they all work as gateways? No lock-ups on resetting the network?! For real?

Sorry, I should introduce myself in my first post. I'm with FreeTheNet.ca in Vancouver.

Good day,

I have a Bullet2 I'd like to add to the mesh, but I can't find the appropriate image. Can anyone show me the bread crumbs?

Thanks,

David

...the URLs for the images on the page you reference give 404s.

Hi, all

That last link produced an image that flashed and seems to work (I can SSH to it and I've added it via the dashboard). Thanks for the help.

Good day, all

After somewhat less than 24 hours the newly-flashed Bullet2 node has not successfully checked in. Running "update" on the Bullet2 produces the following output:

Code:
root@open-mesh:/etc/config# update
get node status...
ip=5.172.230.131&mac=00:15:6D:AB:E6:83&robin=r2102-26/nO&batman=0.5.6-r4&memfree=1396&ssid=open-mesh&pssid=my open-mesh&RR=0&users=0&kbup=0&kbdown=0
/sbin/get_rssi: line 26: cannot open /etc/config/allowed.gateways: no such file
/sbin/get_rssi: line 26: cannot open /etc/config/allowed.repeaters: no such file
cat: can't open '/tmp/dum': No such file or directory
check dashboard...
update: dashboard succesfully updated
update: no dashboard reply received

Network name is treehouse. My next move?

Thanks!

David

Hi,

A wild guess is that your mac is not being calculated correctly by the dashboard.

your mac 00:15:6D:AB:E6:83[/u]
HEX DEC
AB 171

but your ip is
5.172.230.131

create a new network and re-add you nodes watching the mac IP calculation
anyone else see this?
Cheers
T

im not sure r2102 has been fully tested with a bullet. With my bullet im still using r2058 with no problems.
