Rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated.

I've posted a snapshot of the current Orangemesh SVN. I want to give the community a chance to see what we've been working on and get some feedback. Also, want to give some assurance that we're still alive and kicking (albeit slowly)!

This is a pre-alpha "release", more of a preview for those interested really. There is no way to move a node back from an OM 0.4 dashboard to Open-Mesh.com without ssh'ing in, so be careful not to use this with a network you actually care about.

We welcome your feedback, especially bug reports!

Any status? I installed this in November. Was able to see a couple of functional things like create a user. Not really enough to give feedback.

I'll be working on it heavily over the next two weeks in order to support a deployment I'm doing in January. I'm a student, so I've been a bit tied up since November with graduate school applications, classes, and exams.

Understand. Thank you and please let us know of the progress in January. The code looks promising.

Any more nightly builds since last November?

So, some bad news folks. Due to some other personal commitments (all the original developers, including myself, are in or are starting graduate school), development has ceased for the foreseeable future.

I'll be around as I'm able to provide support but other than that I won't be able to devote much time to this project.

If anyone is interested in taking over project development, I'd be happy to walk you through the new 0.4.x branch so you can continue working on it. For what it's worth, most of the boring stuff (site management, plugin framework, etc) is already done, so you'd be able to mostly focus on the fun stuff: developing new maps, status views, integration with captive portals, and so on.

Thanks all for your support over the last couple years and I hope you have found this software useful. In the meantime I recommend taking a look at Meshconnect, which has been kept a bit more up to date.

Hi Shasan

I'm busy working on a fork of your Orange mesh software. Great stuff - thanks.

I need some help (if you have time) on the following :

map.js

there is a function which creates an icon for the map. It has variables (up , gateway , etc etc)

I'm trying to locate where these variables are called from and where they get their values from...

I would really appreciate a quick one liner on this - im really stuck...5 hours on this problem down the tube Razz

My email is
