Hi!
I’m going to create a mesh network with 4-5 Ubiquiti Unifi UAP Outdoor 2.4-5 GHz and to use Robin mesh firmware. One of these will be my mesh portal connected to an ADSL gateway. The coverage area is max 500 m in diameter (but there are some obstacles).
I would like flash these devices (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) with ROBIN, but I wouldn't spend money uselessly.
For 2.4 GHz, I think that the clients can connect to 802.11b/g and the mesh devices to 802.11n.
For 5 GHz, I think that the clients can connect to 802.11n and the mesh devices to 802.11a.
Or am I wrong?
Is it possible that ROBIN runs on these devices? What do you advise me?

No, robin will not run on these devices. However, it is possible that if you use a different, newer firmware you may be able to.

Thanks for your advice.
Why does robin not run on these? Is it an hardware or software problem? Could I develop code for extend robin on these device (or others)? If it is not very difficult...

That would be a fairly large job. It is a problem with robin.
