We have a 20+ node OM1P/Pico2HP net. We are upgrading to OM2P units. Is it possible to flash the OM1P with NG and run on a OM2P mesh? If how?

Yes to the OM1P, no to the Pico's. Flash the OM1P's with NG using open-mesh-flash and they will mesh with the OM2P's. Node throughput to the existing OM1P's should improve also if they are using an OM2P as a gateway.

Thanks for the response. Using the OM flash, how do I specify the NG firmware?

Yes, I have gone to this page and have downloaded the OMflashng but it hangs..does not begin the sequence. Does the OM1P need to have a specific build before it works?

I have a nine node OM2P that is working fine (cora-hs).
OK, I have set up an OM1P in close proximity to an access-connected OM2P. I have the following dashboard settings set:
-NG firmware checked
-disable automatic updates, not checked
-test firmware: not checked

This setup has been in place for three days...nothing.

What am I messing?

Have you tried plugging the OM1P directly to a wired Internet connection?

Coranet:

How did it work out for you? Did you ever upgrade om1p's that were in repeater mode or did you have to plug them into a wired connection before they upgraded?

We have a 80+ om1p network that we want to add om2p into as gateways and so could encounter the same problem.

It's nice to have a few pointers before we get started.

After plugging them into the access point via a router, the OM1P upgraded to batman and work fine in the OM2P net. However, they work at OM1P speed, not the higher speeds of the OM2P.

Footnote...it took a day for the OM1Ps to upgrade! A slow process.
