*** Read Me First - Part Two ***
Sometimes I see people making negative comments about products and/or services based on guesses or rumors rather that knowing what the facts really are or worse posting very personal attacks and more often than not "untrue statements" about providers and/or companies.
Unfortunately this can lead to people having a wrong or a misleading understanding of the ROBIN project and/or services provided by “service providers” which may puzzle first-time users. Sure, some people just believe what they read, but there are many "open-source" users out there which are "professionals" and are looking for clues for making their own assessments.
As long as the posts are only referring to ROBIN... well, this is the right place to discuss.
It becomes really unpleasant when such "on-the-fly" comments are made about our partners and their products. In recent weeks I saw rudeness, insulting posts and personal attacks... (like a battle ground for providers/partners "propaganda").
My personal feelings are that this kind of behavior is not appropriate in this forum.
If we think that a "forum" should be a clean and valid resource where people get good information and hints then we should try to be polite and accurate as far as possible, avoid misinformation when posting and remind people to contact the partners/providers in order to get correct and detailed information about their products.
This forum is run by volunteers, as is the ROBIN project itself... running forums are big time sinks! So, please, "maintain this forum as you would like other forums to be maintained".
Thank you again for your consideration.
