Hey guys,

Like many others, I have switched a node from Open-Mesh to Orange mesh to be able to have a little more control. I love the Orange!!

I can’t get my test node to check in. Shocked

Here is what I have done:

1. The Orange mesh is up and running.

2. The test node checks in to Open-Mesh fine.

3. I added the URL to my instance of Orangemesh to the Alternate Dashboard box as: Domain Nmae.com/mesh (which is where the checkin-batman.php file is located).

4. I forced a check in by typing the mac address after the checkin-batman.php file like this: Domain Name.com/mesh/checkin-batman.php?mac=00:12:CF:xx:xx:xx

Orange mesh gets the check in and processes it correctly. (Meaning it now shows the test node checked in).

Do you think that means the issue is in Open-Mesh if I can force a check in via a URL and it processes correctly? The orange mesh is on a hosted web server with updated php files.

I am trying to narrow down the problem... At this point, I don’t think it is a php version issue. I don’t think it is a orange mesh issue. I have the correct URL in the Alternate Dashboard box.

Any thoughts? Confused

Does the Alternate dashboard HAVE to be an SSL URL?
I saw some posts saying no but the documentation on OM says yes or bricks may be created...

Does anyone have nodes reporting back to OrangeMesh through non SSL connections?

I think this may be the issue. Can anyone confirm that OM / Orange Mesh REQUIRES a SSL (Port 443) connection to work?

Meaning that the server that Orange Mesh resides on must be acessable via https connection.

Thanks,
Wiss
