Just installed the beta for the CoovaRadius product under windows 7 for testing.. seems to work just fine and appears to be quite similiar to CoovaOM in terms of look, feel and even has some, but more, features.

Anyone try this yet for Robin Mesh?
Just curious as this will be this weeks project!.

check it out.. there is a free Trial License for testing purposes available which I am exploring.

As far as I can tell, this is the only place where this is offered and discussed. If you discover an alternative, I'd enjoy knowing about it.
Had to actually register to LinkedIN to get at it.

I tried the devpay version 6 months ago which was pretty cool but probably only suitable for developers and was a little expensive.

and yet they say that the Devpay version is for the Non Techy type.. although I'm curious about the costs of it...
A full licence for this standalone version is $199 but there is a free 1 month trail licence available for Windows, Ubuntu etc.

I got it working fine but I had no idea how to make any modifications and the whitepaper didnt cover it...the base product was nowhere near production ready and the developer didn't have time for non developers. I will definitely be keen when its developed more.

Devpay with Amazon is pretty cool but ended up around $150us a mth for a 24/7 live server.

Have this up and running under both Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Each on own server platform, Dual Xeon 3ghz platforms.

Ubuntu much faster than the Win version, however, both work exactly the same and so far work well in my initial tests.. Easy to setup and configure.

Will play more, but very platform independent (Java based) with excellent API and extensibility.

Just a FYI.

Hi Mike,

Your basic setup is just LAMP + drupal?
Or do we need more compnents installed?

Tnx

Windows is just with the most recent Java Runtimes & SDK's installed
Ubuntu Server is simply a LAMP install, all Java Libs.

I do not have Drupal installed as its not needed for basic radius/user/node management in this version.

Just working on integrating/adopting a dashboard for it and see how it all works together, but so far installation was a breeze and uneventful, configuration simple enough.
