Hi, it's me again. Smile

I have a new question. In my open-mesh the file iprules is not present.
I try to create this file and apply the rules for activating and sending logs to my syslog server without results. No log appears on my server.

I also tried using the Dashboard to run the custom.sh and it always the same order, activation of logs and sending logs to my syslog server. With the same result.

In the search for the configuration that will be my happiness. Very Happy

Thank for your help.

Actually I'm in same situation like you, you can coonetc by ssh to your ap an try to add iptables rules from prompt line and test it immediately.

I'm not Linux skilled to really help you.

Ok step by step

1) connect to your AP with something like "putty" ssh terminal
2) input this command iptables -h so you can see the command's sintax
3) iptables -L so you can see your iptables state running
4) input this command:

Code:
 iptables -R FORWARD 1 -i tun0 -p tcp --dport 80 -m state --state NEW -j LOG --log-prefix="RRR-$ath0mac:"

this command adds to ip tables 1st line into FORWARD section the filtering condition, beware it replaces allways the 1st line

With this line you can have a partial user activity log.

I think it's time that you spent some time in Linux deeping it's a good investment to really understand suggestions like mine.

Ciao Carlo

Question, why replace the first line, just insert it above the first line:

Code:

iptables -I FORWARD 1 -i tun0 -p tcp --dport 80 -m state --state NEW -j LOG --log-prefix="RRR-$ath0mac:"

-I = Insert above first line in table.
-A = Append to end of table.

I used -R because otherwise each times you cahnge anything into custom.sh and this is downloaded and executed do you will find the same line many times into iptables.

I'm not a guru but I think this is correct.
