and followed the instructions here:

But I cannot get the nodes to turn active on open-mesh for the life of me. Any suggestions? Are there any steps missing from that link above?

yes I did, i double checked and everything is fine.

After looking through the forums it seems as if the how-to I referenced is sort of automatic-easy as opposed to the ssh command interface changes other folks are making. Does the how-to i reference work as easy as it is written or do I need to make other changes?

I logged in via telnet and tried to run update or upgrade and i was told command not found.

Robin does't work in M5 routers (802.11an) while Robin.v2 supports M2 routers (802.11bgn).

So your saying that I can't use robin on the M5's, do you know of a mesh alternative that will?

I also have 3 Ubiquiti router station pros with SR71-12 cards, will robin work with those?

One option is to talk to anaptyx but I suspect you will need to purchase a router from them

You know I do. Smile

Its only setup for single radio (g) (I also have and "n"card on the shelf)

I can also setup telnet access to the serial port if you wish to have a look

Unfortunately I didn't do enough homework on my purchase of the bullet M5. When I saw that robin was supported for the Bullet M I assumed it was all of the Bullet M series, so I purchased 3 of them.
I will try my best tomorrow to return it to the website i purchased it from, but do you think ubiquity would swap it for one of the other bullets?

So now some of you are saying the router station is also a no go. What devices flashed with robin(or any other mesh firmware) would give me the highest throughput/distance ratio? Can anyone make any recommendations?

I'm just wondering why we don't support the 5 GHz devices, seems more than a little odd to me.
