We have created a mesh that has quite a few nodes, but lately we have been noticing they aren't using the optimal path to get back to us. Some that have been getting back to us in one hop before, are now going through 2 or 3. Is there any way to force a node to use a specific route to get back to the gateway?

Nice feature request. Previously I have had to create multiple dashboards to get the routing I need. What would be nice, is the ability to STRONGLy prefer a particular route, and only route a different way if the preferred route is not available - that way we retain redundancy. This might be something best set in POMADE or robin-dash

since olsrd (shortest-path-first based) and ahdemo a 2/3 hops path is a very strange behavior in a few-nodes mesh, not expected indeed. Can we have a look at your network-name in your dashboard?
