they are two different things: virtualbox is a virtualization product while proxmox is an environment for VMs (either KVM or OpenVZ), i.e. virtualbox may be integrated into proxmox Smile

Indeed, it is interesting. I probably won't end up using this though. I prefer using Amazon EC2 with Load Balancing. That to me is High Availability.

CHeck out Rackspace Cloud with Loadbalancer as well - very impressed with the service over Amazon.
