I just got of the phone from Streakwave checking an order I sent them for two OM1P units. The guy told me they did not have any available and seemed to suggest that they were discontinuing them. So, how do I get some additional OM1P units?

Where can I find these units, O-M no longer sells them.

From memory they are being discontinued. This is to force people into using the NG firmware, instead of Robin. There appears to still be some 849 OM1P's available here:

Yep, they posted this yesterday after I asked Mike to sell me four units. Apparently they had a change of heart but, after these are gone, where will we get replacements? Apparently not Steakwave. We will probably upgrade our 20 node network at some point, but since they are not compatible with the new OM2P units, it will be painful!

Anyone hear anything else on this?

Review some posts here on the ROBIN board and you will in fact find out that using the NG software on your OM1P nodes will talk with the OM2P nodes running NG and it appears to actually improve throughput to the legacy devices....

unfortunately, no ROBIN support and as Cody says you will be forced to migrate to NG.

Our new firmware is coming and will work with most (if not all) of the existing devices..

What sort of timeframe Cody?

Is it a month away or before the end of the year do you think? We are starting to find a real need for Wireless N firmware...

OM2P & OM1P running NG firmware live fine together, on our stuff anyway.
