Is this forum dead? Or just a zombie?

I think it is pretty dead. It was very active a few years ago but most of the main developers went there separate ways to develop proprietary firmwares that they could make money on. I don't blame them for that. They did all the work and everyone else benefited from it.

I stopped checking 2-3 years ago and just came back today to see if there was any conversation on the next development. Looks like these corridors are empty.

Yep, it's pretty much dead. I haven't visited in a few months and there is probably 10 new replies/threads created and hardly any activity all round really. Most of the original people and devs are long gone.

It's a shame. I wonder what happened to Antonio, most of all... Confused

Is there any open source successor ?

As for open-mesh.com, there new firmware hasn't moved in ages, NG is still beta and not really been updated, still missmatches I think between the features of the firmware and the dashboard too

NG is moving forward pretty good, with their hardware. I am running some EOC's and Picos with NG, no problems. I have found no viable alternatives at this point.

As I understood, this wasn't a supported scenario? Anywho, we are having some major updates very soon with WiFi Mesh (including, most likely, a name change)! Very Happy

Funnily enough I spotted an 'Antonio' from Italy has signed up here:

which is why I dropped in here to see if anything was happening.

In terms of interesting projects I'm quite interested in

It's working on some $50 dual radio 5Ghz/2.4Ghz devices.
