Hi folks, this announcement is to let you all know about the latest version of OrangeMesh, 0.3b. It was released a couple weeks ago -- sorry about the delay. This is the first "beta" version that has all the features we originally set out to implement when we started this project in January. We do not have all the features available in Open-Mesh yet, but that is our next development push.

While you may still download OrangeMesh at the old site (meshnet.googlecode.com), we now have a new project home:

. We're not going to be doing any more changes to the Google Code site, so be sure you use the Sourceforge site to ensure you're getting the latest copy, especially if you are grabbing a copy from SVN.

Now, you can use SourceForge tools to submit bugs and feature requests. We'll continue to use this forum for the foreseeable future (nice to have the whole community in one place). We'll be updating the content on the new site over the coming weeks, as well as adding a wiki.

So, hop on over to the new homepage and download your copy of 0.3b! Thanks again for supporting OrangeMesh!

While there is no date, we'll make the switch some time after we have every feature available in Open-Mesh. It'll be a gradual transition; I believe you'll have the option whether to use open-mesh or orangemesh for a while. However I hope that by the end of the summer we'll have both projects merged.

When I get the time to build those features, or when someone else contributes the code. :)

If you have specific feature requests, please put them in the

Hi Guys,

I'm currently working on implementing some of the missing features of open mesh into orange mesh.

I don't want to step on any toes Shasan, but wanted to run my own dashboard (no offence Mike) and am currently using OLSR which OrangeMesh doesn't support as yet.

So, I have started building in those features as well as the splash page editor.

If you like, once I'm done, I'll send the code over to you for a once over.

I'm not much of a PHP developer, C# for me usually, but finding a lot of similarities in it Smile

Best Regards
Chris
