Couldn't find a forum for this, so moderate please move as you see fit.

Got a few of these in today. Flashed them using Ubuntu and r1522 and the stock flash util per open-mesh. The flash went fine with no errors. Node will check in 1 time and then no more.

Can ssh into the node while it is booting and it will kick me back out sometime after it syncs with time server - did not pay real close attention. When I try to get back into the node, it says "connection refused". It does pull an IP and wireless is up with the proper SSID.

I'm watching your post with interest

You could try flashing "robin_beta-1.4_PICO2HP"?

I wonder if EOC-2610 and pico2HP use the exact same chipset?

Atheros AR2316 Single chip = EOC-2610
Atheros AR2315 Single chip = EOC-1650

Check this beast out

EOC-5610

Good idea! I'll try out "robin_beta-1.4_PICO2HP" when I get to the office in the morning.

Same with sparrow.

Refuses ssh connection, wifi is up but broadcasting "open-mesh" ssid. It seams that the initial dashboard checkin kills it.

I would suggest that your node is trying to update its configuration form the dashbooard then fails on update.

To prove this you could try two options

1. Setup a network without a dashboard
2. Setup a network with the exact setting as a default node configuration

Thanks Antonio

Which firmware do you recommend for the EOC-2610

Are you planning one firmware for all devices or a firmware for each device?

It appears whatever rcS is, is whats killing the node.

Hey Brian

I have just updated my fonera with the new sparrow build and it appears to be providing internet all the time.

problems
1) nodogsplash did not work :- no splash page

2) "open-mesh 2" SSID and mySecure (fonera Hangover??)
-appears to sort itself out after a couple of minutes

3) Dashboard registering incorrect number of users
- it appears to add one user for every checkin
- also graphic of upload download appears to be corrupt
- checkin appears to be ok.

network saor_wifi

@ Antonio
Is sparrow using the new hal and what is the max bandwidth expected?
P.S. Thanks for your excellent work.

Cheers
T

Cheers
Ted

OK, saw that you posted Changeset 1653 last night so I tried it. Node will now not pull an IP address. Wireless is up and you can connect and surf but the SSID is the default one as it cannot checkin.

Also, if I connect to it, the client device is pulling its IP from our LAN router, which is what the device is connected to, and not the wireless router.
